Registration for KCBS Teams for the 2026 BBQ Jackpot is sold out.

Every year a few teams end up having to cancel, so we encourage you to get on the waitlist. If a team drops out, we’ll fill the open spots from that list.

The grand champion will receive at least $3,000 plus:

  • An invitation to compete in the 2027 $1 million Pitmaster Challenge BBQ World Cup
  • An invitation to compete in the 2027 American Royal World Series of BBQ
  • An invitation to compete at the 2027 KCBS World Invitational
  • A Nevada bung for the 2027 Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue.
  • A guaranteed entry into any division of the 2027 Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest + $250 entry team discount

Spots are filled on a first come, first served, first paid basis. If your preferred site size sells out, we recommend registering for an alternate site size and getting on the wait list.

  • 18×18 – $300 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 18 feet wide by 18 feet long. It consists of two standard parking spaces side by side.
  • 18×27 – $325 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 27 feet wide by 18 feet long. It consists of three standard parking spaces side by side.
  • 18×36 – $350 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 18 feet wide by 36 feet long. It consists of four standard parking spaces.
  • 18×54 – $450 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 18 feet wide and 54 feet long. It includes six standard parking spaces located side by side.
  • 18×63 – $475 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 18 feet wide and 63 feet long. It includes seven standard parking spaces located side by side.
  • 18×72 – $500 – SOLD OUT
    • This site is 18 feet wide and 72 feet long. It includes eight standard parking spaces located side by side.

Once your application is received, you will receive an email within 1-2 days letting you know if your application has been accepted and if your site size request is available.

Within that email, you will also receive an invoice. Your registration is not complete and your site size is not reserved until you have paid the registration fee in full. 

Refund Policy

  • Full refund (less any processing fees) if you cancel on or before Sept. 30, 2026 
  • 50% refund (less any fees) if you cancel between Oct. 1-31, 2026 
  • No refunds will be issued after Oct. 31, 2026. 

Categories

As a KCBS Master Series event, teams will need to turn in at least 6 portions of chicken, pork ribs, pork shoulder and brisket in accordance with KCBS Rules and Regulations. Teams must provide their own meat. It may be trimmed before arriving to the competition, but it can’t be brined, injected or seasoned. Meat will be inspected on site.
