The BBQ Jackpot will include the West Coast’s first official Live Fire Cooking Association Open Fire Competition. The winner will receive an invitation to the 2027 Open Fire World Championships.

Teams must turn-in an entrée that includes one protein, one vegetable and one starch. A starch may include rice, potatoes, pasta, bread, corn, legumes, or other carbohydrate-dense components traditionally served as part of a composed entrée. All must be cooked over open fire (see below).

Teams will be split into groups, and entries will be presented in person to three judges. Finalists will advance to a second round where they will present the same dish to a final group of judges. See the full rules below.

Teams may also register to compete in the KCBS Dessert Category. Desserts do not need to be cooked over open fire.

Membership Requirements

Competition in LFCA-sanctioned events requires a current LFCA Competition Team Membership. This membership is issued per team, not per individual. Each team must register with a designated head cook, who serves as the team’s official representative for membership, event eligibility, points tracking, and qualification purposes.

Site Sizes

All spots are $300 and are 18 feet wide by 36 feet long and consists of four standard parking spaces. Spots are filled on a first come, first served, first paid basis. If we sell out, we recommend registering for the wait list.
